This photo is one Madelyn Cline seems to truly treasure.
After months of sparking romance rumors, the Outer Banks star, 25, appeared to confirm her relationship with musician Jackson Guthy by posting a sweet snap of the duo to her Instagram Stories on his 27th birthday March 19. The black-and-white picture showed Madelyn smiling alongside Jackson as he sported an In-N-Out Burger hat. She wrote alongside the image, "Happiest of birthdays my love @jacksonguthy."
The post comes a month and a half after the actress gave some insight into her dating life.
"I am happily taken," she told Cosmopolitan for a cover story published Feb. 7. "All I know is he makes me incredibly happy. And I've truly never been happier, and I feel very, very empowered."
While Madelyn didn't drop a name, she and Jackson had been sparking romance rumors ever since they were spotted hanging out together in California last summer.
Perhaps it's no surprise that the Glass Onion star wants to keep any dating details private. After all, Madelyn was previously in a relationship with her Outer Banks co-star Chase Stokes, and they went through a public breakup in 2021. It seems the split led her to reevaluate just how much of her personal life she wants to share with the world.
"My thing is, I don't owe anyone an explanation," Madelyn noted to the magazine. "I am a really private person. There's a part of me that is for me and nobody else. But in hindsight, duh, making my relationship public made it everybody else's business. And I realized the negative side effects of that while going through the breakup, realizing I had let people in and then felt like I couldn't get anybody out. It just hit me like a freight train. I wanted us both to move on and be happy. People see the need for sides. There are no sides—there's no winning or losing in a breakup."
And it appears they have indeed both moved on. After months of dating speculation, Chase, 30, recently confirmed he's in a relationship with Kelsea Ballerini. As for how the two connected, the country music singer, who was previously married to Morgan Evans, revealed that she slid into the actor's DMs.
"Honestly, he shoots in Charleston, and my manager lives there and he put the bug in my ear," Kelsea, 29, said on a February episode of Call Her Daddy. "He was like, 'You know who's really cute—when you're ready? Chase.' And I was like, 'You're so right.' And I've never seen the show, but I just knew of him. And yeah, so I followed him, and he followed me and I just swan dove right on in."
